Quick checks
- Take off the case and screen protector — they sometimes cover the earpiece.
- Gently clean the speaker grilles with a dry soft brush.
- Turn Bluetooth off; the sound may be going to earbuds.
- Test in Voice Memos: record, then play back. It tells us whether the mic or the speaker is the problem.
Repairs and warranty
We replace the earpiece speaker or the bottom loudspeaker as needed, each with a 180-day warranty. If the sound fault is on the board (audio chip), it's handled as a logic board repair.
