Check these first
- Try a different cable and adapter.
- Shine a torch into the port. Grey fluff packed at the back stops the plug going in fully.
- If wireless or MagSafe charging works but the cable doesn't, the port is almost certainly the problem.
Don't dig in with a metal pin — you can short or bend the contacts. Let us clean it.
When cleaning isn't enough
If the contacts are worn, corroded or the port is loose, we replace the charging component. The technician tests charging and data with you before you leave.
Warranty
180 days on the replaced charging component, covering manufacturing defects such as slow charging or a loose fit.
